Peter Espinosa

Chief Executive Officer

As MileMaker’s CEO, Peter is dedicated to propelling the company to new heights of success through strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and a relentless pursuit of innovation. In his role as CEO, Peter sets the strategic direction for MileMaker, overseeing all aspects of operations, financial management, and corporate strategy. He brings a wealth of experience from leading companies that provide advanced, industry-specific technology for more than 20 years, steering those companies through periods of significant growth and expansion. Peter believes the best companies deliver true value through great solutions and individuals who are uniquely genuine, reliable, and fun. Outside of work, Peter serves on the board of several different companies and owns an award-winning brewery out of Decorah, IA. As a sports fanatic, Peter rarely misses a chance to attend a sporting event—no matter the sport. As a foodie, one of the aspects he enjoys most about attending sporting events is the local stadium fare. Peter resides in Edina, MN with his wife, two youngest children, and three dogs.

Eugene Feld

VP, Engineering

As the VP of Engineering at MileMaker, Eugene oversees all aspects of engineering, from product development to architecture to technology strategy. He brings a wealth of experience from HERE Technologies, where he played a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technical roadmap, resulting in a successful launch of innovative products in automotive and mapping industries. Known for his ability to align technical initiatives with business objectives, Eugene has a track record of leading teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. And that’s not all he’s scaling—in his spare time, Eugene enjoys ice and rock climbing, and has scaled notable peaks across the U.S. and Canada. He also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his wife and two kids.

Mark Lukenbill

Commercial Leader

While his official job title may be Commercial Leader, Mark Lukenbill is also MileMaker's unofficial Minister of Fun, organizing social outings for the MileMaker crew. In his official role, Mark is dedicated to building new customer and partner relationships, educating the market on how MileMaker's solutions drive cost savings in supply chains. With nearly 16 years of experience in the TMS space, gained at companies like MercuryGate and various startups, Mark has been instrumental in scaling three businesses, contributing to their successful acquisitions.

At MileMaker, Mark has significantly impacted the company's growth by developing key partnerships, enhancing brand presence, and identifying innovative revenue streams. A versatile, solution-oriented team player, he readily contributes his expertise to sales, marketing, operations, and customer success. Mark is known for being efficient, agile, and solution-focused. He's also a regular guest on industry podcasts, sharing his insights and expertise.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys playing golf, pickleball, and bike-riding, and living on his slice of paradise outside Kansas City with his wife, three kids plus numerous chickens and dogs. He also has a hidden talent for juggling, which often comes out as his go-to party trick.

Steve Ellingson

Director of National Sales

Steve Ellingson is MileMaker's Director of National Sales, bringing more than 20 years of extensive experience in the transportation and logistics industry to the team. With a proven track record of success in sales leadership and business development, Steve is instrumental in driving MileMaker's ambitious growth strategy. His expertise spans the 3PL and carrier environment, with a notable history of achievement in consulting roles. In his current position, Steve is dedicated to engaging with shippers, leveraging his natural curiosity and keen business acumen to pinpoint opportunities where MileMaker's software can deliver a cost-effective alternative to competitors.

Steve's career includes working with industry giants such as USF Holland, FedEx, and Schneider, where he held various leadership roles. Notably, he founded his own consulting firm in 2007, skillfully navigating economic challenges to build and maintain a thriving business for 17 years. This entrepreneurial experience provides him with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of client needs.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Steve is passionate about youth leadership, having dedicated many years to coaching high school football. He also enjoys revisiting his earlier interest in singing, taking on a directorial role with a local school's show choir. Steve resides in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with his two daughters and his dog, Charlie.

Isaac Salvadori-Black

Director of Partnerships

As MileMaker’s Director of Partnerships, Isaac is committed to expanding the company’s current network, driving innovation through collaborative initiatives, and ultimately contributing to MileMaker’s overall success. Having spent nearly a decade working for Rand McNally, Isaac has worn many hats, gaining experience in a variety of roles including technical support, technical engineering, field representative, account management, and national growth account executive. His experience in the transportation industry paired with a love for all things vehicular provides Isaac with an in-depth understanding of the unique demands of companies and individuals within the industry. Outside of work, Isaac resides in Chicago and spends his free time racing his car or enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Patrick Kelly

Commercial Transportation Data Manager

As a proven leader, Patrick manages a team of GIS professionals who maintain trucking data for various products within the Rand McNally realm. With more than 25 years of trucking data and truck routing expertise, Patrick has transformed multiple truck routing engines into best-of-class standards, while utilizing over 100 truck restrictions and designated truck attributes within the North American road network. Starting out as a Data Specialist at Rand McNally, he maintained the GIS group, where—in addition to MileMaker and Intelliroute updates—he was responsible for updating the Rand McNally Road Atlas suite of products, including the Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas, and maintaining the data and routing for RV and truck navigational devices. Patrick grew up in the northwestern suburb of Palatine and is a Northern Illinois University alum, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. During the NIU football season, you’ll likely find Patrick at a home game. He’s also a huge Chicago Cubs fan and has recently taken up golf, enjoying a few rounds with his son. Each summer, Patrick, his wife, and two children can be found soaking up the sun on a beach in Hilton Head Island.

Richard Wanzo

Senior GIS Analyst

As a Senior GIS Analyst at MileMaker, Richard is responsible for establishing and maintaining data integrity of GIS data from a variety of sources to be used as content for multiple platforms within the Rand McNally realm, including GPS devices, web content, and printed materials. He is also responsible for researching and editing spatial and tabular data, performing quality assurance and quality control procedures, following various project-specific guidelines that include using customized GIS software platforms. Joining Rand McNally in 1995 as a Cartographic Compiler for the World Digital Database, Richard has spent the last 28 years in a variety of leadership positions including overseeing Road Atlas research, Road Construction Data, Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas research and updates, and Toll Data research and updates. Richard grew up in Southern Illinois and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Illinois State University. Before his tenure at Rand McNally and MileMaker, Richard was an on-site radio personality and news and sports broadcaster for WILY/WRXX radio. Currently residing in Chicago with his wife, son, and daughter, Richard is active in the community and has served on school and park district boards, as well as coached baseball and basketball. In his spare time, Richard enjoys sports, traveling, and spending as much time as possible with his family and their busy activity schedules.

Christina Hays

Controller

Christina Hays, Controller, ensures everything adds up perfectly. She oversees the company’s financial operations, from budgets to compliance, ensuring accurate financial data supports strategic decisions. Previously at Burrana, she was the go-to person for improving financial accuracy and making audit preparation less of a chore, all while discovering valuable cost-saving opportunities in the budget.

Her highlights include leading budget preparation, ensuring financial statements are spot-on, and implementing streamlined processes that make life easier. Christina’s contributions? Keeping the financial ship steady, optimizing budgets, and making sure everything runs smoothly. With a strong finance background and great teamwork skills, she tackles problems with analytical flair and collaborates like a pro. When she's not balancing the books, you might find her balancing on a snowboard, wakeboard, or her horse.

Tanner Billiu

Staff Accountant

Tanner Billiu is our dedicated Staff Accountant focused on ensuring the smooth operation of our finance operations. He handles various aspects of accounting, including billing, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting. With previous experience as a Staff Accountant at Enterprise Mobility, Tanner has a proven track record of problem-solving, identifying cost-cutting opportunities, optimizing processes, and contributing to efficiency improvements. He brings a strong foundation in mathematics and information systems, along with excellent customer service skills.

Beyond the numbers, Tanner is a passionate baseball fan, eagerly rooting for the New York Mets. As a Chicago-based company, we'll try not to hold that against him too much! He’s also a huge movie buff as well as an avid fan of Star Wars.

Matt Vachlon

Customer Support Engineer

As the Customer Support Engineer, Matt is responsible for providing quick solutions and creating the best customer experience possible for MileMaker’s customer base. Matt joined the MileMaker team in June of 2023 after spending 10+ years working at HERE Technologies, where he led a team tasked with managing and troubleshooting time-sensitive traffic data and delivering on KPIs used to renew and win new contracts. The experience has taught him that to be an industry differentiator, you can’t just aim to meet customer needs—you must exceed them! Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at Butler University, where he covered future NBA Head Coach, Brad Stevens, and future NBA star, Gordon Hayward. He credits the communication skills he cultivated in journalism for his ability to learn quickly and communicate complex solutions to customers. In his spare time, Matt enjoys traveling, following Chicago sports, and watching a good thunderstorm.

Rylee Cannon

Marketing

Rylee Cannon is our marketing whiz.With a keen eye for strategy and design, she plans and executes targeted email campaigns, optimizes SEO performance, and crafts compelling graphics for LinkedIn and web content. Rylee first joined MileMaker as a summer 2023 intern while studying at DePaul University, where she launched and tracked Google Ad campaigns and conducted in-depth competitive research. Beyond marketing, she has a passion for video editing and graphic design. Outside of work, she occasionally DJs around the city and produces events that bring her community together through music, art, and creative expression.

Louis London

Software Engineer

Joining Rand McNally in 1989, Louis has gained forty years of software engineering and data processing experience with transportation-related software. Prior to that, he received a Computer Science degree from the University of Massachusetts. Louis has been instrumental in the development of Rand McNally’s current and past products, including MileMaker and the software used in Rand McNally’s truck and RV navigational devices. In addition to software development, Louis often assists Customer Support and QA teams. Outside of work, you’ll find Louis watching science fiction TV shows or movies and traveling to Hilton Head, SC each summer.
